How It Works

From application to accessible therapy

A step-by-step look at how we support teens and young adults, whether you're applying for yourself or for someone you care about.

  1. Apply

Anyone can start an application: the young person themselves, a parent or guardian, or a friend, teacher or relative who is worried about them. The form asks for a bit about their situation and financial need.

  2. Review

Our team reviews each application against our eligibility criteria: ages 13 to 25, demonstrated financial need, and actively seeking or currently in therapy.

  3. Match

Approved applicants are connected with a therapist from our partner network, or supported in covering sessions with a therapist they already see.

  4. Fund

The Foundation covers the cost of up to 6 therapy sessions per approved application, removing the financial barrier to getting started. This can vary depending on individual circumstances and the funds we have available.

  5. Support

We check in periodically to make sure the support is working. If someone wants to keep seeing their therapist after the sessions we’ve funded, they’re welcome to continue at their own expense. We’re glad to have helped make that relationship possible.
