Using this website

By using this site you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information in any form you submit, and only submit someone else’s personal information where you have their consent or are their parent or legal guardian.
  • Not misuse the site, attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, or interfere with its operation or security.
  • Not use the site or its content for any unlawful purpose.

We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of this site at any time, and we may decline or remove a submission at our discretion.

Applications for support

Submitting an application does not create any entitlement to funding. What we can and cannot promise is set out in full on our disclaimers page, which forms part of these terms.

Donations

Donations can be made by bank transfer using the details on our donate page, or through our GoFundMe campaign. GoFundMe is a third-party platform with its own terms, fees and privacy practices; we do not receive or store your card details, and this website does not process payments.

  • Donations are voluntary gifts and are, as a rule, non-refundable. If you believe a donation was made in error or without authorisation, contact us as soon as possible and we will consider a refund in good faith.
  • Donations fund the Foundation’s charitable work, principally paying for therapy for young people who qualify for support, together with the reasonable costs of running the Foundation.
  • Unless a campaign explicitly says otherwise, donations are unrestricted, meaning we allocate them where the need is greatest rather than to a named individual.
  • We cannot accept donations earmarked for a specific applicant, to protect the privacy of the people we support and to keep allocation fair.

Tax deductibility

The Foundation does not currently issue section 18A tax certificates, so donations are not tax deductible. If this changes we will update this page.

Intellectual property

The content of this site, including text, design, the Foundation name and logo, belongs to the Foundation or its licensors. You may share and quote our content to support or discuss our work, with attribution. You may not use our name or logo in a way that suggests endorsement or affiliation without our written permission.

Privacy

How we handle personal information is set out in our privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and the South African courts have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the foot of this page shows when they were last reviewed.
